SGE is pleased to announce a further development on this theme with the availability of SilGuard™ integrated guard column technology with most forte™ capillary GC columns.
SilGuard™ technology stands to benefit chromatographers by reducing the amount of non volatiles entering the analytical column and as a result, forte™ columns can now offer enhanced endurance with no loss of sensitivity.
How does it work?
SGE's unique SilGuard™ integrated guard column makes use of our highly successful SilTite™ ferrule technology to join a forte™ analytical column with a guard column during production resulting in a leak free connection.
SilGuard™ equipped forte™ columns also have the added benefit of allowing the analytical column to have a different ID from that of the guard column. This offers a wider choice of options when it comes to injection and chromatographic techniques, options not possible with other integrated guard columns.
