Syringe Maintenance - Use cleaning kit (SGE part no. 031782)
- Use heated cleaner (SGE part no. 031781)
- Fixed needle syringes - don’t heat above 60° C
- Removable needle syringes - can be heated to 120° C
- Remove plunger when heating or autoclaving
- Do not pump plunger if needle is blocked
- Avoid plunger movement when syringe is dry
- Always check syringe for cracks
| Syringe Cleaning - Do not immerse whole syringe in solvent
- Rinse thoroughly with suitable solvent
- Flush syringe with non- ionic, phosphate and alkaline free surfactant solution (SGE part no. 031782)
- Rinse with distilled water
- Flush with acetone
- Remove plunger and wipe with solvent on tissue
- Refit plunger and flush with acetone
- Allow syringe to dry
