Fixed Outlet Splitter for Capillary Columns

The Fixed Outlet Splitter is recommended for splitting the flow from a capillary column between two detectors. The kit consists of a special Glass Lined Tubing (GLT™) splitter union, tubing and all ferrules required for installation.

Fixed Inlet Splitter for Capillary Columns

  • For columns from 0.10mm to 0.53mm ID
  • Ideal for confirmation retention data
  • Small internal volumes
  • Inert flow path of Glass Lined Tubing (GLT™) and fused silica
Where an injected sample is to be split between two capillary columns for simultaneous analysis, the fixed inlet splitter is recommended. The low internal volume, glass lined design ensures an inert low dead volume connection. The two capillary columns used (usually differing in polarity) must have the same length and inside diameter to obtain equal sample splitting. Three kits are available to suit 0.1-0.25mm, 0.32mm and 0.45-0.53mm ID capillary columns. The kit consists of a special GLT™ union and all ferrules required for installation.

Variable Outlet Splitter for Capillary Columns

This easy-to-install splitter allows regulation of flow to a second detector. A make-up gas tee piece is built into the valve, increasing flow velocity, eliminating potential dead volume problems and allowing detector sensitivity to be maintained. The valve adjustment control is conveniently located outside the gas chromatograph while all components in contact with the sample remain in the oven.
